We couldn't wait to see R again this morning and we were excited as we drove aross the bridge in the sun!
When the door opened, we saw his face straight away and he looked straight at us and then came his beaming little smile! It was so good to see that he was pleased to see us and that he recognised us! It was lovely to get an unprompted hug from him and then to get a kiss as he became more and more familiar. We are amazed at how well it has gone today, especially as it is only day 2. It certainly feels like we have known him for so much longer.
We had a lovely few hours with him this morning - playing with his toys and then enjoying the sunshine in the garden. We gave him lunch and then put him to bed... as we closed the door on him he began to cry - a cry because we were leaving him according to his foster carer. Lovely to know but hard to leave our son behind.
We really can't wait for A to meet him - doing it without him is hard. Can't wait to have our 2 precious sons under one roof.
We are so blessed and God has been gracious.
